XII Encuentro Polifónico Ciudad de Tomares
A celebrar del 28 de noviembre al 2 de diciembre de 2019.
Anualmente se organiza en Sevilla el Encuentro Polifónico Internacional “Ciudad de Tomares”. La calidad artística de este Encuentro lo convierten en un evento de importancia musical internacional en el que han participado corales y grupos vocales de alta calidad artística de Argentina, Bulgaria, China, Cuba, Dinamarca, Estonia, Francia, Gibraltar, Holanda, Portugal, Rusia, Suecia, Venezuela, así como de todas partes de España.
Tras el gran éxito de las primeras ediciones del festival (CA2017 y CA2018), en el último trimestre de 2019, coincidiendo con la XI edición del Encuentro Polifónico Internacional “Ciudad de Tomares”, las corales “Polifónica Tomares” (Sevilla, España) y “Polifónica Isla Cristina” (Huelva, España) organizan este gran Festival Internacional de Corales y Grupos Vocales “CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA 2018”.
CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA no es un festival competitivo, la idea del festival se resume bien en la frase de Gabriel García Márquez “cantar para sentirse vivo” y ese será nuestro premio, aunque habrá sorpresas agradables para todos los grupos participantes.
CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA se organizará en auditorios de las provincias de Sevilla y Huelva y la participación estará limitada a 12 agrupaciones. El festival comenzará un jueves y cada agrupación participará en un mínimo de 2 conciertos dependiendo del número final de participantes y sedes. CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA 2019 se cerrará el sábado con una gran fiesta-cena de despedida conjunta con todos los coros y agrupaciones vocales participantes.
Consideramos que los aspectos sociales y el fomento de la cultura relacionados con el turismo son importantes. De hecho, Sevilla es “La Ciudad de la Ópera”, más de 150 se localizan en Sevilla, algunas son producciones universales compuestas por autores como Beethoven, Bizet, Donizetti, Haendel, Mozart, Rossini, Scarlatti, Verdi. “Carmen”, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “Don Giovanni”, “La Favorite”, “Fidelio”, “Le Nozze di Figaro”, “La Forza del Destino”…. son ejemplos de óperas inspiradas por Sevilla con lugares, muchos de ellos reales, que los participantes tendrán la posibilidad de visitar y disfrutar.
Durante y entre los ensayos, conciertos y otras actividades programadas dentro de CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA habrá tiempo suficiente para disfrutar del entorno y de la cultura andaluza, así como para socializar y establecer contactos interculturales con otros grupos participantes nacionales e internacionales.

“CIUDAD DE TOMARES”

Every year the International Polyphony Meeting “Ciudad de Tomares” take place in Seville. The artistic quality made this Meeting an event of prime international musical relevance. This has been possible due to the excellence of the choristers and soloists participants from all over the world i.e. Argentina, Bulgaria, P.R. China, Cuba, Denmark, Estonia, France, Gibraltar, The Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Venezuela, as well as from elsewhere in Spain.
After the great success of the first two editions of this festival (CA2017-CA2018), last quarter of 2019, in coincidence with the XI edition of the “Ciudad de Tomares”, the choirs “Polifónica Tomares” (Seville, España) and “Polifónica Isla Cristina” (Huelva, España) will organize this big International Festival for Choirs and Vocal Ensembles “CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA 2019”.
CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA is not a competitive festival, the idea of the festival is well summarized in Gabriel Gracía Márquez cite “singing just for feeling alive” and this will be our reward. Nonetheless, there will be lovely surprises for all participants.
CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA will take place in auditoria and theatres in Seville and Huelva provinces and participation will be limited to 12 assembles. The festival will start on a Thursday and each group will participate in a minimum of 2 concerts depending in the final number of participants and venues. CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA 2019 will be closed on Saturday with a gorgeous farewell party-dinner with all chorals and vocal ensembles together.
We believe that the social aspects as well as culture promotion in relation with tourism are important. In fact, Seville is “The Opera City” being central in over 150 operas, some of them universal productions by prime authors i.e. Beethoven, Bizet, Donizetti, Haendel, Mozart, Rossini, Scarlatti, Verdi. “Carmen”, “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”, “Don Giovanni”, “La Favorite”, “Fidelio”, “Le Nozze di Figaro”, “La Forza del Destino”…. are some of the operas inspired by Seville with locations, many of them real, that participants will have the opportunity to visit and enjoy.
During and between rehearsals, concerts and other activities programmed within CANTA EN ANDALUCÍA there will be enough time to enjoy Andalusia and its culture, as well as to socialize and start intercultural relations with other national and international participants.
